Wikibooks Writing Contest 2025 Is Under Way: Take Part and Win Prizes

The Wikibooks Writing Contest 2025 is under way on Bangla Wikibooks. It opened only seven days ago and has already drawn a considerable response — more than 500 pages were submitted in the first week alone. That is the work of 35 and more active contributors.

Under the banner of free books for a free world, Wikibooks exists to build an open library of knowledge. In this contest, participants are creating and expanding books in Bengali across a range of subjects. New contributors are joining, and experienced Wikibooks editors are finding fresh momentum.

7 May 2025 to 7 June 2025.

🏆 Prizes

• 🥇 1st place: a 6,000 BDT gift voucher and a printed certificate
• 🥈 2nd place: a 4,000 BDT gift voucher and a printed certificate
• 🥉 3rd place: a 3,000 BDT gift voucher and a printed certificate
• 🏅 4th place: a 2,500 BDT gift voucher and a printed certificate
• 🏅 5th place: a 2,000 BDT gift voucher and a printed certificate
• 🏅 6th to 10th place: a 500 BDT gift voucher and a printed certificate each
• 📄 Anyone who submits at least one accepted page: a digital certificate

The contest aims to enrich the stock of free textbooks in Bengali and to bring more volunteers into the Wikibooks project. It is still running, so there is time to enter and win.
