Wiki Loves Children 2025 is an online article contest held to increase and improve child-related material on Bangla Wikipedia. Its aim is to create good articles in Bangla on children, children’s rights, health, education, development, culture, and the many subjects close to children’s lives.

Many important child-related subjects are still missing or incomplete on Bangla Wikipedia. Through this contest, participants choose articles from a set list and translate and expand them into Bangla, making the store of reliable, freely licensed information about children richer for Bangla-speaking readers.

How to take part

Log in to your own Wikimedia account and add your name to the participants list. Then choose an article from the list and translate it in full — partial translations are not accepted. Once translated, add the necessary categories and interwiki links and submit the article for review.

Machine translation, AI translation and direct use of Google Translate are not accepted. If you use any translation aid, you must read the result yourself and correct it, so that the language is natural, clear and accurate.

Dates and prizes

The contest runs from 1 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. Anyone with at least one accepted article receives a digital certificate. Winners are ranked by the total number of words added.
