Wikivoyage Article Contest 2025
A month-long contest for World Tourism Day, creating and improving travel articles on Bangla Wikivoyage.
The Wikivoyage Article Contest 2025 is a month-long contest held for World Tourism Day. Participants write original travel articles following Wikivoyage’s notability rules and house style, and translate new ones from English Wikivoyage.
Rules
- Entrants must be logged in; edits from an IP address do not count.
- Articles are chosen from the designated article list and translated from the English version. No more than three pages may be held at once without submitting.
- Original articles are welcome, provided they follow Wikivoyage’s notability rules and house style.
- Pages must be translated in full — partial translations are not accepted.
- Machine and Google translation are not accepted.
Dates and prizes
The contest runs through September 2025. Anyone who translates at least one article and has it accepted receives a digital certificate, with gift vouchers and printed certificates for the leading participants.
